The process

Four calls. Zero confusion.

Shopping for TV, cable, and internet shouldn't feel like reading a phone bill. Here's exactly what happens when you reach out.

STEP 01

Tell us your address

We check which providers and speeds are actually available at your home — not just what's advertised nationally.

STEP 02

STEP 03

Ask anything

Equipment fees, installation windows, early termination clauses — we answer the questions providers gloss over.

Once you pick a plan, we help schedule installation or activation, often within the same week.

Questions people actually ask us

No jargon, no upsell scripts — just the answers we give callers every day.

How do I know what speed I actually need?
As a rough guide: 25–100 Mbps covers browsing, email, and standard-definition streaming for one or two people. 200–300 Mbps comfortably supports HD streaming on several devices plus video calls. 500+ Mbps is worth it for households with multiple gamers, smart-home devices, or frequent large file uploads. We can help you size this to your actual household, not just sell you the biggest number.
Why did my bill go up after the first year?
Most cable and internet pricing includes a promotional rate for the first 12 months, after which it shifts to a standard rate. This is industry-wide, not specific to one company. We always tell you the post-promo price upfront and can flag when it's worth renegotiating or switching providers before the increase hits.
Do I need a contract, or can I go month-to-month?
Both exist. Contracts (typically 12–24 months) often come with lower promotional pricing but may include an early termination fee. Month-to-month plans cost a bit more but offer flexibility if you're renting, relocating soon, or just don't want to commit. We'll walk you through the trade-off for your situation.
What's the difference between cable and satellite TV?
Cable TV runs through physical lines already in the ground in most cities and suburbs, so it's typically less affected by weather. Satellite TV uses a dish and can reach rural areas where cable lines don't exist, but performance can dip during heavy storms. We'll tell you honestly which is actually available at your address.
Are there hidden fees I should ask about?
The most common ones are equipment rental (modem/router or cable box), a one-time installation or activation fee, and regional sports or broadcast surcharges on TV packages. None of these are scams — they're standard line items — but they should always be disclosed before you sign up, and we make sure they are.
Can I keep my own modem or router?
Often, yes, as long as it's compatible with the provider's network, which can save you the monthly equipment rental fee. We can check compatibility for your specific equipment before you commit to a plan.

About us

We're the call before the sales call.

FASTTVCABLE started as a simple idea: most people don't want to spend an hour on hold just to find out what internet speed they can actually get at their address. So we built a team that does the comparison work first, in plain language, before you ever talk to a provider.

We're not a TV or internet provider ourselves. We're the people who sit between you and the provider's sales script — checking availability, explaining what each plan actually includes, and flagging the fees and contract terms that often get buried in fine print. Our specialists handle these conversations every day, across dozens of providers and markets, so they know which questions actually matter.

Whether you're setting up service for the first time, moving to a new home, or just tired of paying for a plan that doesn't fit anymore, our goal is the same: get you to a plan you understand and feel good about, as quickly as possible.
